Couples Retreat - Apologies, Forgiveness & Appreciation
Time & Location
About The Event
This Couples event will be moving online. New description, schedule and details coming soon!
It’s not easy to say we are sorry when we’ve hurt another. It’s not easy to forgive when we’ve been hurt.
Both sides of the equation ask us to risk vulnerability while holding a thread of connection, of good will that suggests we are all, at our core, still ‘good people’. Yet even in our closest relationships we forget. We struggle to adequately address our empathic failures and remember that imperfection is a hallmark of being human.
Without a way of communicating our hurt, of recognizing the painful truth that have hurt another, we cannot learn from our mistakes or effectively ‘begin again’ for a more sensitive, informed, and mature place.
This weekend we will practice the high art of apologizing and forgiving, of offering and receiving and appreciating each other for risking vulnerability in our endeavors to grow alone together.
This retreat is for you and your partnership. Privacy and confidentiality are respected. Each person works within their own partnership. No couple will be put on the spot and asked to share personal information in front of others. All couples welcome!
We will alternate between teaching segments, short mindfulness meditation practices, and dyadic couples exercises.
In order to keep pricing as low as possible, teacher fees are not included and are encouraged as “dana” (the ancient tradition of generous giving), as each participant is moved to do so at the end of the retreat. More information will be discussed at the retreat.
