Playing together Mindfully:
A Day-Long Workshop for Couples
All work and no play makes for a very dull relationship!
At least that’s what science is showing. Play changes the brain pathways of emotions, planning and problem-solving! This is why play is so important for children and adults! Play opens our minds, hearts and bodies. We lose track of time, loosen our self-conscious ways, grow more creative, spontaneous, and less inhibited allowing our ‘better selves’ to come out & play.
But often we’re too busy, too tired, too irritable or cranky to want or think that playing would be a good idea, or just what the doctor ordered! How do we learn to insert play and invite joy into the weave of our everyday life?
So much of our day is spent in the busyness of task oriented doing that play gets squeezed out of our schedule. We forget how to enjoy ourselves and each other, how to be good friends, good play-mates, how to have fun, how to muse and inspire, how to feel into the joy and pleasure of playing alone-together with our partner.
Play nourishes, replenishes and re-invigorates us and our relationships. But don’t believe the scientists, don’t believe us. Come and see for yourself what lightheartedness does inside and out!
During this day long explorative retreat we will invite delight and playfulness to be woven into the web of our primary relationship.
